about

Hello,
It is twenty-five years since my last solo recording project, and I am glad to be doing this one--it's about time! I have known and played a number of songs in the program for about that long; others are more recent acquaintances. With each of the songs, though, there's at least one point during the course of the song that gets me. Maybe it's an unexpected melody note or a particularly juicy chord change, or a lyrical turn of phrase, but whatever those special moments may be, they keep the songs new for me, no matter how many times I've sung and played them before. Thanks to the composers and lyricists for creating that kind of timeless appeal.

about

John Miller Bellingham, Washington

I made my first recordings at the age of 21, a solo Country Blues album "First Degree Blues" and one with Bluegrass trailblazers Country Cooking. I released four more solo albums before I turned thirty. After a long lay-off, started recording again in the '90s with instrumental duos, duos where I backed singers, solo recording and larger ensembles. You'll be able to find it all here. ... more
